I did an OU course a few years ago and it had a little section about the late 19th and early 20th Century fascination with spiritism.
One of the things that struck me about this is that altough they tried to work ideas about 'the paranormal' into the course they had no idea about the subject at all. It was just a passing thought, a bit of filler.
There was a bit in it about Harry Price, at least there was a picture of him, but totally confused and out of context.
I've often wondered if there could be a possibility of the OU having a course that took a serious look at the nature and psychology of 'parapsychology.'
Perhaps I should ask?
