Today I got some vinyl records in the post.
My Hi-fi has a cassette deck, an FM radio tuner and a MiniDisc recorder sitting there in the stack.
All totally redundant, surpassed by digital playback and recording on computer, the iPod and Wi-Fi Internet radio.
There is something eminently satisfying about a collection of vinyl records, ok so they get digitised and you mainly listen to them on your iPod, but there is nothing like the sound of a bit of vinyl blasting through a 200 Watt RMS amplifier and a set of big speakers.
Rock'n'Roll...
